North American Aviation merges with Rockwell Standard Corp. and becomes North American<br />

First unmanned Saturn V is launched from Kennedy Space Center, Fla., sending Apollo 4 into Earth orbit<br />
to test the spacecraft’s re-entry module. The Saturn V and the Apollo modules were built by the combined<br />
