comparison to some kitchen-inspiration tomes.
Not only does it feature stylish kitchens from
around the world but it also highlights the fact that taste,
not a huge budget, is key to creating your dream
– or ‘cool’ – kitchen.
Ranging from a high-end modern kitchen in a restored
castle to a minimalist one in a cupboard; from an ultraglamorous
Californian beach front house to a kitchen in
a former cinema as well as budget kitchens in owned and
rented properties – the book salutes the spirit of the kitchen,
which for many people is the heart of the home, and

meet.
As well as giving the reader an overview of certain ‘looks’
and general inspiration, the book also include masses of clever

About the author: Jane Field-Lewis is an experienced multidisciplinary
stylist, art director and author of the ‘My Cool’
series and co-author of George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces. Her
work crosses the boundaries of film, television and print, and
has been recognised and awarded internationally. Her books
are a quintessential guide to help others indulge in their own
sense of nostalgia, and small space design. All they need to do
is add their own twist of personality and retro-vintage styling.
