Coon toastie truck<br />
Swimming Australia and iconic <strong>Australian</strong> brand COON<br />
Cheese have joined forces in the race to Rio and beyond with<br />
the pair forming a two-year partnership that will commence<br />
on Monday March 21st until 2018.<br />
This partnership will see an <strong>Australian</strong> made and much<br />
loved brand, COON Cheese, play an active role at Swimming<br />
Australia national events with their reach also extending<br />
beyond the sporting fan to people far and wide across the<br />
country through the COON Cheese Toastie Truck.<br />
The Coon Cheese Toastie Truck will travel the country,<br />
attending a wide range of events with $1 from every $2<br />
COON Cheese Toastie sandwich going back to support the<br />
Swimming Australia Junior Dolphins Program.<br />
The Junior Dolphins Program is a national initiative<br />
encouraging children to join their local swimming club and<br />
introduce them to the sport of swimming - a fun and exciting<br />
activity and a valuable life skill.<br />
Swimming Australia Chief Commercial Officer Chris Forbes<br />
said, “This is a perfect partnership for Swimming Australia,<br />
aligning with an iconic brand that will be supporting the<br />
development of future stars – and helping our fans to enjoy<br />
their events with great tasting toasted cheese sandwiches.<br />
Following on from the announcement of the Seven Network<br />
as our broadcast partner last year and Bio Island as the<br />
official nutrition partner just days ago, this is another step<br />
forward for Swimming Australia,” Forbes said.<br />
In addition to the Coon Cheese Toastie Truck, the<br />
Dolphins brand will appear on COON Cheese packaging in<br />
supermarkets around Australia.<br />
The General Manager of Marketing at COON Cheese, Ted<br />
Lawson said “As swimming is the number one participation<br />
sport in Australia and we believe that all <strong>Australian</strong>s should<br />
learn to swim this is the right partnership for Coon Cheese.<br />
We believe in promoting an active, healthy lifestyle one in<br />
which Coon Cheese and swimming can play an important<br />
role especially in children and young adults.<br />
The Coon Cheese Toastie Truck will be raising money for<br />
Swimming Australia by selling Toasties, hot off the grill,<br />
which is comfort food that all <strong>Australian</strong>s grew up with.<br />
We like to say that eating a Coon Cheese Toastie is like that<br />
feeling you get when Mum wraps you with a towel after a<br />
swim. “Comfort never grows old”<br />
The partnership between COON Cheese, Swimming<br />
Australia and the <strong>Australian</strong> Dolphins Swim Team<br />
will actively launch in Adelaide at the <strong>2016</strong> Hancock<br />
Prospecting <strong>Australian</strong> Swimming Championships.<br />
Fans will be able to come and taste the benefits of this<br />
partnership every day and night during the National<br />
Championships at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre in<br />
Adelaide from April 7 to 14 which is the start of the<br />
race to Rio for many aspiring young athletes.<br />
