Technology is a popular debate topic
because everyone believes in something
different about it. Is it good or bad? Who
knows?
There are a lot of people around the world
who believe technology is corrupting
children slowly, especially within the older
generations. They think that things like
computers,
to go to the library, find a book that had the
information they needed and then write their
essay, but now with computers, students can
research and write their essays at the same
time. Teachers are also able to correct
assignments using computers. Many teachers
in St. Johns use a website called Engrade
which allows students to hand in assignments
via this website and their teachers can correct
these assignments without wasting ink or
paper.
Televisions, cell
phones and other different forms of
technology are being introduced to younger
and younger children to damage their minds
and change how they act, think and speak.
Although many people believe this to be true,
it is quite the opposite, technology was
created to help people and make their lives
easier, especially children.
Technology has made learning easier and
fun, using games to encourage little kids to
learn. Kids can learn at home on their
computer and it makes life easier for both
teachers and students.
Writing essays is much easier for high school
students because all the information they
need is available anywhere they can find a
connection. Before the internet, children had

us every day whether we are aware of it or
not. GPS helps us when we are lost or when
we want to know where to go. Our own cell
phones help us in a greater way than most
think. It allows us to communicate with
others easily and if ever we need help or we
are unsure of something, we just need to look
it up and in less than a minute we have what
we need.
Another great reason why technology
is good is because people all over the world
can learn using computers if they have access
