Continuous Investment
SPV are delighted to report that during 2015 our continuous investment in both
safety training and plant has exceeded all previous years.
During 2015 SPV Management have completed the Institute of Roofing Management
and Technician Course, IOSH Training, Human Resource Training and Contractual Law
training. Investment in safety training has been equally as important in all levels of the
business with training ongoing throughout the year including SSMTS, First aid, Pasma,
Ipaf and Asbestos awareness.
In addition to this 6 operatives have completed the pilot Liquid Waterproofing Specialist
Up skilling Programme with a further 4 individuals already enrolled on the next course.
We have also enrolled 3 operatives on a cladding Specialist Apprenticeship Programme at
the Derbyshire Construction College to further their knowledge and skills set.
We have recently enrolled 16 of our supervisors for Level 3 supervisor training and
assessment which on completion will ensure they obtain a Gold CSCS Card and we have
furthermore enrolled our administrative staff for a Level 3 NVQ in Customer Service.
During the year we have also heavily invested in new plant and equipment.

Randolph Hotel, Oxford
SPV are currently undertaking the fire
refurbishment works at the 5*
Macdonald Randolph Hotel, Oxford.
e works which are due to be completed in
early 2016 involve the rebuilding of the
heritage tower to the Hotel and
refurbishment works both internally and
externally to the gothic 19th century listed
building which is a known institution in the
heart of Oxford town centre.
We are delighted to report that the site has
achieved compliance with the considerate
constructors scheme scoring good or very
good in every area.
e assessor commented that the
challenging project is being run in a very
professional manner.
It was also commented that Excellent
working relationships has been developed
with the hotel which has ensured minimal
complaints and numerous compliments.
Million pound month
SPV are thrilled to announce our first ever
million pound month.
In October 2015 we turned over in excess of
£1,000,000, the first time in the company’s history
SPV are looking forward to further increase in
growth in 2016 and our aim is to continually
develop our targeted business growth strategy

Double Tree by Hilton
SPV have recently completed the flat roofing
works at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel,
Chester.
e specification involved a 2 layer high
performance built up felt roofing system
complete with Sitek Recovery Board. Access to
the area was limited due to large amounts of
plant on the roof however SPV expertly installed
the waterproofing underneath.
