Davenport Theatrical presents<br />

Inland Northwest Premiere<br />

of the musical “Big Fish”<br />

Based on the novel and film of the same title<br />

DAVENPORT— Davenport Theatrical (DT) will<br />

produce the Inland Northwest premiere of the broadway<br />

musical “Big Fish” this July.<br />

The musical, based on the celebrated novel by Daniel<br />

Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim<br />

Burton, centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman<br />

whose incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill<br />

everyone around him. But his son Will, about to<br />

have a child of his own, is determined to find the<br />

truth behind his father’s epic tales.<br />

The production features three visiting theatre artists<br />

as part of DT’s Guest Artist Program, in which<br />

professionals work alongside and mentor local volunteers.<br />

The musical is directed by New York Citybased<br />

director Reesa Graham. Choreography is by<br />

Davenport resident and local dance teacher Lindsey<br />

Van Buren, with music direction by Davenport High<br />

School choir teacher Karen Brewster.<br />

Professional actors Chris Gleim (New York, NY) as<br />

Edward and Esteban Suero (Miami, FL) as Will join<br />

a cast of 11 local performers: Tony Caprile, Amy<br />

Dawson, Will Copeland, Micah Fisher, Knute Hernas,<br />

Caryssa Murphy, Paula Reed, Leslie Schweiger,<br />

Finn Shumway, Zierry Tagbas, and Zac Welch.<br />
