22 How Can <strong>We</strong> Help You? There are lots of health services available and ProCare’s Health Promotion Advisors (HPA) and Community Health Coordinators (CHC) can help you find out about them. ProCare has a team of HPA and CHC throughout Auckland and the service is FREE. HPA and CHC are people you can trust. They are people in the community, for the community. A HPA can help you establish a life style coordinator with in your local community, establish a health committee, who will assist the life style coordinator to promote healthy living through nutrition and active living. A CHC will ensure you get the best healthcare from your doctor’s visit. They can go with you to the doctor’s clinic to ensure you are aware of the health services available to you. They will also work with you to help manage health problems such as diabetes or heart conditions. They might even be able to help you sort out problems with housing, transport or budgeting.
