5.1 4C UNIT<br />
4C Units have the following roles and responsibilities:<br />

To implement the 4C Code of Conduct and all other relevant requirements and be in compliance with<br />
applicable regional, national or international laws<br />
To implement an Internal Management System (IMS)<br />
To engage 4C Verifier companies in a transparent manner, free from conflicts of interest<br />
To pay verification costs<br />
To commit to and implement the 4C Continuous Improvement concept, i.e. eliminating all reds until<br />
first re-verification<br />
To update Coffee Assurance Services on their performance every year as part of the annual update<br />
