Impact, Influence and Image - Critical Behaviours of Successful <strong>Women</strong> Leaders <strong>in</strong> the Public Sector<br />

Senior women leaders <strong>in</strong> the Australian Public Sector face the everyday reality of work<strong>in</strong>g and manag<strong>in</strong>g teams <strong>in</strong> an emotionally charged, high pressure<br />

environment. This can present a number of challenges when it comes to positively <strong>in</strong>fluenc<strong>in</strong>g others and build<strong>in</strong>g strong and last<strong>in</strong>g relationships. When<br />

focus<strong>in</strong>g considerable energy on others it can be easy to dismiss personal well-be<strong>in</strong>g as a priority, which can have an adverse impact on your leadership.<br />

Prepar<strong>in</strong>g yourself for leadership requires the development of reflective th<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g, self-awareness, plann<strong>in</strong>g and strategy. Aspir<strong>in</strong>g leaders can wait for their<br />

achievements and capabilities to be recognised by others, or they can take their career progression <strong>in</strong>to their own hands and become strategic about<br />

how they wish to advance.<br />

This workshop will equip women with the tools and practical knowledge to build confidence <strong>in</strong> their leadership abilities and to best position themselves to<br />

advance their careers. This hands-on, full-day <strong>in</strong>teractive learn<strong>in</strong>g session has been designed with both current and emerg<strong>in</strong>g leaders <strong>in</strong> m<strong>in</strong>d, it aims to<br />

equip participants with a practical leadership plan that they can use to navigate a successful career and advance to senior levels.<br />

Louise is the Executive Director and owner of Performance Partnership and specialises <strong>in</strong> the Psychology of Communication.<br />

She has earned herself a reputation as a lead<strong>in</strong>g authority on Performance Excellence <strong>in</strong> Adults. Her successful career spans 23 years and she currently<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>es her studies <strong>in</strong> psychology, Neuro-science, coach<strong>in</strong>g and leadership to work with organisations and their people to effect dramatic and<br />

susta<strong>in</strong>able behavioural change.<br />

Her vision is to <strong>in</strong>spire, motivate and <strong>in</strong>fluence those she works with to be exemplars <strong>in</strong> their field.<br />
