GOODWOOD METHODIST CHURCH
1. Combined Service: Following the departure of Rev Yap
and his family in mid-July, we will have combined services
until further notice. Let us pray together for Rev Yap, his
family, and the English ministries.
2. Thanksgiving Lunch Potluck Sunday was held on 17
July after the church service as we showed appreciation for
the contributions Rev Yap and his family have made to the
church. We thank them for the past one and a half years
of pastoral service among us.
3. Youth Sunday was held on
10 July, a time for us as a
church to support and value
the youth ministry, and to
nurture them to become disciples
of Jesus.
4. Youth Winter Camp was
held from 22 to 24 July at
Springmount Retreat, Inman
Valley. Rev Gloria Ling was our theme speaker. Despite
the cold weather, all the youths enjoyed the camp, which
afforded them unforgettable fellowship and learning.
5. Theological Sunday was held on 31 July. Theological
student RJ Lim took the pulpit on that Sunday. We
encourage the church as a body of Christ to support theological
education by giving freely to support the ministry.
6. Discipleship Facilitator Training: Rev Gloria Ling
together with Rev Elijah, Ps Shirley and LP Jasmine were
sent by CMCA to attend Discipleship Trainer training from
1 to 4 August in Kuching, Sarawak.
7. Bishop Kwang and his wife Kim visited us on 8 August.
He preached and conducted the Holy Communion. He also
shared with our English congregation after lunch.

8. Mission Night
was held on 19

9. Church Bible Quiz was organized by the Christian Education
committee and held on 13 August at the Annex
Hall. There were five groups (AF, YAF, Youth, English
group and SS) that participated. The content of the bible
quiz was drawn from the books of Daniel, and 1 and
2Peter.
10. Mother’s Room: To provide a more comfortable
environment for mothers and toddlers during Sunday
services, the LCEC has approved the construction of a
mother's room in the main hall. The estimated cost of the
project is $2500 and we encourage the congregation to
support this project.
TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH
1. TMC has been established for 23 years now; many are
serving here faithfully, many found the Lord here and their
lives were transformed, and many have made this place a
home.

2. Four couples were married at our church in July with a
warm ceremony. Three couples married on the same day,
which had never happened before. Every time we have a
wedding ceremony, brothers and sisters generously help
to prepare food and decorate the church.
PRAISE METHODIST CHURCH
1. The Alpha Camp was held from 22 to 24 June at Bridport
Bayview Center. We felt a sense of unity and contentment in
this camp. We obeyed the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
worshiped and shared in one heart, and learned the Word of
God together.
2. A church outing to Heritage Park was held on 23 July. There
were 45 brothers and sisters and new friends who took part.
