EIGHT MILE PLAINS METHODIST CHURCH<br />
1. Mandarin Evangelistic Film Premiere Screening – “A<br />
Life Conveying a Story of Love”: The event was a joint<br />
effort between Australia East District and Media<br />
Evangelistic Ltd., held at 7:00pm on 12 August at Eight Mile<br />
Plains Church.<br />
2. Methodist Medical & Mission team organised a trip to<br />
PNG from 25 July to 6 August. Our sister Holly Zhou joined<br />
this trip.<br />
3. Rev Peck Kui Kwang visited us on 24 July and shared the<br />
vision of purchasing land and building a church for Faith<br />
Methodist Church.<br />
4. Thanks to Bishop Kwang and Mrs Kwang for their pulpit<br />
ministries on 17 July in the Chinese and English services,<br />
and at Mansfield Preaching Point.<br />
5. Methodist Senior Fellowship General Meeting was held<br />
at 9:30 am on 9 July in church. We thank God that we have<br />
elected the working committee members for a 3-year term.<br />
In a second election among the working committee, the<br />
following members have been elected into the respective<br />

6. Mansfield Preaching Point Building Fund: Thank God for<br />
His grace that there has been prominent growth across all<br />
areas, including the gatherings, participants, the number of<br />
brothers and sisters taking part in serving, and the offering<br />
collections. It is expected that our Preaching Point will be<br />
upgraded to a Local Church in the foreseeable future. In the<br />
last Local Church Executive Committee, it was resolved that<br />
a Building Fund would be set up for our Preaching Point.<br />
7. Youth and Junior Youth Winter Evangelistic Camp was<br />
held at Bornhoffen PCYC from 5 to 8 July. Mrs Kim Kwang<br />
was the camp speaker together with Bishop Kwang as the<br />
special topic speaker and counsellor. We thank them for<br />
their faithful services in Him.<br />
8. Church Mandarin Young Couples Camp – “Good Family<br />
Instituted by God”, and Church Mandarin Youth Camp –<br />
“Family Members vs Lover”, were held from 1 to 3 July in<br />
Bornhoffen PCYC. Sister LC Jong was the speaker.<br />
CARLTON METHODIST CHURCH<br />
1. 7th Anniversary of Parramatta Preaching Point: We celebrated<br />
the 7th anniversary of Parramatta Preaching Point<br />
on 3 July. CMC brothers and sisters, along with the church<br />
choir, joined this celebration of God’s grace.<br />
2. 2nd Couple’s enrichment seminar: There were around 50<br />
participants in the 2nd couple’s enrichment seminar on 9<br />
July. All couples presented the hymn “Love is as strong as<br />
death” during the Sunday service on 17 July.<br />
3. Membership Enrolment: During the Youth Sunday service<br />
on 10 July, six brothers and sisters became CMC members:<br />
Terry Jin, Shanshan Wang, Sandy Deng, Siewkiu Yong,<br />
Hans Huang and Rita Yang.<br />
4. LAMM course in Sydney: Rev Dr Rev Michael Tan taught<br />
the unit Old Testament Survey part 2 from 15 to17 July. All<br />
the participants learnt a lot from him.<br />
5. Bible Quiz was held on 30 July in CMC. PPP also sent a<br />
team to participate. There were six teams, with 120<br />
congregation members in total. We focused on the book of<br />
Daniel this year. Everyone enjoyed this event.<br />
6. Evangelical Sunday: Hong Kong United Methodist<br />
Children’s Choir was at CMC to worship together and<br />
present hymns on 31 July. Rev Ping Kwong Li was our<br />
preacher for the service. All brothers and sisters stood up<br />
after the sermon and responded to the altar call.<br />
7. Faith MC fundraising: Rev Peck Kui Kwang came to CMC<br />
and PPP on 7 August to<br />
help raise funds for Faith<br />
