Performance Report released, Pottsville School District<br />
has earned some <strong>of</strong> the highest grades in the state<br />
based upon academics, curriculum, etc. as well as: High<br />
School-Grade A; Junior High-Grade B; Middle Grades-<br />
Grade A; <strong>and</strong> Elementary-Grade A (perfect score).<br />
Along with the already mentioned achievements,<br />
we are pleased to share the teamwork exhibited at<br />
Pottsville to promote positive social skills <strong>and</strong> lifelong<br />
lessons. We have: EAST students developing an<br />
App for the Pottsville Fire Department; Science<br />
students participating in a climate change study<br />
<strong>and</strong> collaborating with a network <strong>of</strong> other Arkansas<br />
schools; Art students donating artwork <strong>and</strong> raising<br />
money for “Log a Load for Kids”; History students<br />
giving historic tours <strong>of</strong> Potts Inn; celebrations<br />
honoring <strong>and</strong> respecting our military through Veteran’s<br />
Day <strong>and</strong> Proud To Be An American Day; Family Fun<br />
Nights to promote literacy <strong>and</strong> math, various clubs<br />
collecting <strong>and</strong> donating food for such programs<br />
as Backpack for Kids; a student who worked in<br />
collaboration with the district <strong>and</strong> the community <strong>and</strong><br />
succeeded in obtaining a grant to construct Pottsville<br />
School’s tennis courts; <strong>and</strong> the list continues.<br />
Our enrollment this year has increased from 1624 to<br />
1702 students, <strong>and</strong> we complement this growth to our<br />
Pottsville family consisting <strong>of</strong> students, parents, faculty<br />
<strong>and</strong> staff, <strong>and</strong> the community who work together to<br />
challenge <strong>and</strong> to inspire the best education possible.<br />
