Travel Guide <strong>Escapy</strong> Endah Village (Kampung Endah) “Endah” simply means beauty in the older Malay language. “Kampung” is the Malay word for village. Put both words together and we get Kampung Endah or Beautiful Village. However, since it is a name it is thus called Endah Village.
Endah Village is one of the more organized villages in Malaysia. Houses are built in a sort of organized grid thus ensuring the best or rather most efficient use of land. Endah Village wasn’t always called Endah Village or Kampung Endah. It was once called Kampung Pindah of which meant a relocated Village as three villages were relocated here. They decided to change the name to Endah which sound better. 99
