Change in Deductibles Mandatory Mail Order Prescriptions New Network for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Wisconsin The deductible amounts for two of our current medical options will increase due to rising healthcare costs: • The $350 deductible plan will change to a $400 individual/ $800 family deductible • The $800 deductible plan will change to a $900 individual/ $1,800 family deductible Employees who take prescription medication on an ongoing basis will be required to fill prescriptions through the mail order program after the first two refills at a retail pharmacy. That’s why we offer a selection of health plans designed to let you choose exactly the coverage you need — at a cost that’s right for your budget. Through the Mercer Marketplace 365 enrollment tool, you have a choice of medical, supplemental medical, dental, and vision plans, as well as tax-advantaged spending accounts that can save you money. MEDICAL Medical coverage offers valuable benefits to help you stay healthy and pay for care if you or your covered family members become sick or injured. Start with standard coverage: Medical plans Enroll in core coverage for peace of mind. When enrolling in one of these plans, you’ll also select the carrier you prefer — BCBSIL (prescription coverage administered by Optum Rx) or Kaiser (California, Colorado, D.C., Maryland or Northern Virginia residents only, in certain zip codes ). Choose from: • $400 Deductible Plan with Copays • $900 Deductible Plan with Copays • $1,850 Deductible Plan with HSA • $2,850 Deductible Plan with HSA • $6,550 Deductible Plan with HSA • HMO Plan (for Kaiser CA participants only) Then, you may choose to add: Supplemental medical plans Supplement your medical plan to protect yourself from significant or unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Choose from: • Accident • Hospital Indemnity A New Medical Plan to Fit Your Lifestyle As part of our continuing effort to provide you with a wide variety of benefits choices to fit your life, we’re introducing a new medical plan option for 2017 — the $6,550 Deductible Plan with HSA. With this plan, you will pay lower monthly contributions in exchange for a higher annual deductible. This plan may be attractive if you have limited health care needs — that is, you typically don’t visit a physician except for preventive care and an occasional office visit for a minor illness or injury. We encourage you to use the Plan Shopping App on Mercer Marketplace 365 to compare your medical options and to get a better idea of which plan may fit you best based on your expected needs for the upcoming year. Finding providers is easy BCBSIL: Go to www.bcbsil.com/tribune. Kaiser: Go to www.kp.org. Remember, you can see any provider, but because our carriers have negotiated discounted rates for you, you pay less when you select an in-network provider. 3
