‘Boxeurs’, a powerfully expressive bronze sculpture by<br />
Marcel Bouraine (French, 1886-1948), depicting two<br />
sparring boxers, the contenders set on a bronze<br />
sôcle, bearing the sculptor’s signature and foundry<br />
mark for AG of Paris, dated 1924. A rich dark<br />
patine to the bronze adds distinction. Length:<br />
18 inches (46 cms), mounted on a black<br />
figured, marble base. Ref 4848<br />
