PROGRAMMES & INTERVENTIONS<br />
Strategic Planning ? Process completed with NH<br />
Badminton. Harbour Hockey in final stages of<br />
completion. Ongoing process for Netball North<br />
Harbour, Touch North Harbour and Harbour<br />
Volleyball. Club Strategic Planning ongoing with<br />
14 clubs in the region.<br />
Volunteer Management ? Plans completed by NH<br />
Softball and Wakatere Boating Club and ongoing<br />
with Harbour Basketball.<br />
Club Development Support ? Projects aligned as<br />
outcomes within the strategic plans, including<br />
increase in junior participation, volunteer<br />
recruitment, volunteer training and<br />
development (committee PD), communication<br />
strategies, income generation, school/club links,<br />
targeted population engagement and income<br />
generation initiatives.<br />
Coach Development ? Volunteer and coach<br />
development workshops, and Coach Developer<br />
programme through schools and clubs... Three<br />
KiwiSport projects initiated.<br />
Facility Development Support ? In-depth and<br />
ongoing at Warkworth Showgrounds, Metro Park<br />
and Shepherd?s Park. Initiated at Freyberg Park<br />
Community Sports Village, Mairangi Bay Beach<br />
Volleyball Centre,<br />
Risk Management, Health and Safety and Child<br />
Protection ? Generic Workshops held, and further<br />
support for clubs and RSO?s: Harbour Hockey, NH<br />

Targeted Community engagement ? Interventions<br />
designed to increase participation in Asian and<br />
Rural populations, and schools with lower<br />
participation in Sport and Recreation.<br />
KiwiSport Project support and development -<br />
Ongoing support with RSO?s, Clubs and schools<br />
on their KiwiSport projects.<br />
WORKSHOP PROGRAMME<br />
The ?Sector Knowledge? days have been designed for CEO?s and Sport Development staff around<br />
specific topics relevant to supporting their organisation. Topics have included: Auckland Council and<br />
Local Board Engagement and Collaboration Unitary Plan, Long Term Plan (LTP), Foundation North,<br />
Council and Local Board Funding, Health and Safety, Accounting Software, Sports Chaplaincy Support<br />
Child Protection. A second North Harbour Sports Summit was held in October which brought together<br />
Council, Local Boards and RSOs to discuss opportunities for sector collaboration to produce the best<br />
outcomes for sport and recreation across the region.<br />
The Harbour Sport Club Workshop Programme was once more tailored to cater for the identified<br />
needs of the community and focused on the key areas below as requested by local clubs:<br />
