Appendix 1: Methodology
‘Key Informant’ Interviews
11 interviews with ‘key informants’, people with extensive experience of working with oracy in different
ways and contexts, were conducted alongside a review of the literature to help shape the report’s key
areas of focus.
Interviews were based around a loose script and recorded and transcribed with the interviewees’
consent. References to content from these interviews are footnoted throughout the report, in order to
demarcate this material from case study findings.
