t’s fair to say we are exhausted and burned out with<br />
the ideas that we need to be stick thin and strive for<br />
perfection that is far beyond the ability our minds<br />
and bodies are capable of. Millions of women are<br />
caught in this battle between the constant quest for<br />
perfection and what is actually possible for their bodies.<br />
The unfortunately thing is, in this quest for perfection<br />
we lose sight and touch with what our bodies actually<br />
need from us, what they desire and how we need to<br />
treat them for them to operate effectively and optimally.<br />
We are run by the fears in our minds, and those fears<br />
are planted from the excessive subliminal and direct<br />
messages we are fed on a regular basis. When we are<br />
thumb scrolling our idea of perfection on Instagram on<br />
the way to work we are left feeling defeated and depleted.<br />
The filters, frames and edits that take place behind the<br />
scenes place us in an unfair constant state of comparison.<br />
We are walking around completely disconnected head<br />
and heart, mind and body. We have this image of how we<br />
should be and we internally are constantly obsessing over it.<br />
We play the ‘when-then’ game with ourselves on a regular<br />
basis. ‘When I lose 10 pounds then I willl____’ (insert<br />
here - get a boyfriend, go on a date, plan a beach holiday).<br />
