Choosing to stay in this
New Year’s Eve? We’ve rounded up
a few at-home ideas to make 2016
go out with a bang!
Mint Cobbler
“A contemporary twist
on the classic mojito
- substituting garden
mint for peppermint to
attack the tastebuds in
a different way. Here
at The Northgate bar,
we have added Cherry
Marnier and Mozart
chocolate liqueur
alongside chocolate
wine. This gives it a huge
depth of flavour and
works great alongside
this Mexican rum. To
give the drink its special
edge, we have crafted a
syrup with peppermint,
Manuka honey and
cider vinegar. This
gives a subtle acidity
to the finish and helps
carry the complex
and rich flavours
through. Perfect
for all occasions,
especially after dinner
and certainly a crowd
pleaser for New Year’s
Eve celebrations.”
you’re planning a seated dinner for a few family members and
friends, or perhaps a selection of canapés and party food for a
larger crowd, head over to Waitrose for some delicious recipes.
We love the look of these smoked trout and cucumber bites and
chicken and chorizo skewers!
Ensure your home is party-ready by adding a touch of sparkle.
If you’re holding a dinner party, be sure to dress your table with
candles, runners, and other glittery delights. If you’re feeling
extra creative, make your own bunting and other NYE-themed
decorations to really set the scene. You’d be surprised what
you can do with some spray paint and glitter! Struggling for
inspiration? Pinterest has it covered.
