Baxter Springs - The Lion-
Backers held their first Breakfast
with Santa last Saturday
at the Cooper House in Baxter
Springs.
To say the event was a success
would be an understatement.
They had two different
times that children could come
meet Santa, create popsickle
stick reindeer, color on Christmas
themed coloring sheets
and eat breakfast.
The breakfast was served by
Santa’s helpers (the Lionbacker’s)
and a couple of Santa’s
Elves.
The early session was packed
to the point that more tables
were brought out.
Even after a technical snafu
with the circuits being overwhelmed
the event went over
very well and I’m sure Santa
and all of his helpers went
home and kicked their feet up
after all of that.
The groups next fundraiser
will be Pie Night on January
6th at the Baxter High School
Basketball game against Riverton.
