Trio capture titles in international boxing<br />

International Boxing competitions.<br />

Aska and Allister Ryan representing<br />
the Cobra Boxing<br />
Gym carried the twin island’s<br />
flag proud winning<br />
their respective matches<br />
and categories.<br />
Aska a light heavy<br />
weight boxer and Ryan a<br />
middle weight fighter both<br />
traveled to Tortola where<br />
they competed in two categories<br />
and emerged victorious.<br />
Warner made good on<br />
his promises delivering one<br />
fetal blow to Omari Bowers<br />
within the first-round<br />
knock-out victory segment<br />
to grab the title, while Aska<br />

The Under 15 Tournament for the Antigua<br />
& Barbuda Cricket Association is set<br />
to take flight once again after a one year<br />
break.<br />
The tournament was put on hold due<br />
2015 packed calendar according to the Association’s<br />
President Leon Rodney.<br />
The President noted that although the<br />
tournament garner the support from major<br />
corporate citizens the matches which are<br />
won his category by unanimous<br />
decision over Tortola<br />
native Andre Hudson.<br />
Meanwhile over in Europe<br />
Ryan dazzled the<br />
crowd in the light-wellto-weight<br />
class, defeating<br />
opponents from Italy and<br />
Sweden on his way to conquer<br />
the King of the Ring<br />
title in London a few days<br />
later.<br />
U-15 Cricket competition resumes<br />
usually played under lights was simply not<br />
possible and a major adjustment will be<br />
made to include in in the 2017 calendar.<br />
The competition which was favored by<br />
the public last year however was criticized<br />
by many as they deemed the conditions not<br />
fit for children, will bounce-back with an<br />
upgrade.<br />
The competition will nonetheless reopen<br />
during the Association’s domestic<br />
season in March 2017.
