RIXTON-WITH-GLAZEBROOK PARISH COUNCIL (PC)
Message from Chair Dave Trenbath
“We are presently seeing road surface work being undertaken
around the Parish which will include partial or complete closure
during the work, of certain roads. We hope these improvement’s
will resolve present road problems. Warrington Borough Council and
the Parish Council do not own or have responsibility for any trees
or bushes that line our lanes and we would like to remind everybody
that trees, hedges and undergrowth which block paths or roads
are the responsibility of the adjacent land owner or home owner
and we ask them to maintain them regularly.
Remembrance Sunday will be held the 13th November and we hope
to see as many people there as possible. Mr Bernard Tupman, bugler
from the Manchester Police Band, will be attending once again.
We have recently been informed that HS2 will be built. However,
we are informed that a decision on the ‘SPUR’, which would divide
our village, will not be made until January 2017.
We continue to look for volunteers to help manage Glamis Wood
this is a piece of wooded land which is the entrance to our village
most people see first. We would ask those interested to contact Cllr
David Trenbath at davidtrenbath@gmail.com”
