WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCILLORS (WBC) updates
“With massive budget cuts from government it is proving more and
more difficult to deliver the services to the Parish, though we are
doing the best we can and endeavouring to keep on top of grass cutting.
The additional wildflowers have taken well and given the approach
to the Parish a lift - we hope to repeat this next year. Enforcement
officers are looking into the Gun Club on Prospect Lane, Rixton due
to reports of shooting out of hours. Costs for the government’s
proposed HS2 link continue to spiral and we continue to campaign
vigorously to get government to rethink the Golborne Spur. The
final route is expected to be announced by January 2017.

EAST WARRINGTON AREA MANAGER - Ruth Whitworth
The Rixton and Woolston community meeting would like to invite
you to their ‘Stay Well this Winter’ event on Wednesday 23 November
at Woolston Hub at 11am. The first 30 people, over 50 years old,
to attend the event will receive a winter warm goody bag, including
tea bags and socks, and information about staying well this winter.
There will be a presentation on the 11 top tips to stay well, and also
an opportunity to discuss what is happening in your local community.
All are welcome to attend, whatever you age.
