A new and exciting fitness
initiative comes to King
Williams Town

Mike Webb and his wife
Klara have started up a
Bootcamp Functional Fitness
Training facility at the Daleview
Equestrian Academy.
The aim of the bootcamp is
to get people OUTSIDE
while getting fit and having
fun at the same time.
The sessions run every Monday
and Tuesday evening at
5.30 pm for an hour and cost
a measly R20 .
Basic aerobics, a bit of trail
running and various obstacles
using tyres, poles etc
are used at every session in
order to tone and shape the
body .
'Everybody is encouraged to
work at their own rate (but
pushed ever so slightly) in
order to make it accessible
to all fitness levels and ages,'
said Mike.
All ages from 10 years old are
welcome to attend.
'On Tuesday nights pony
rides will be offered at R10
each for the kiddies in order
to allow the parents to enjoy
their workout at the same
time,' said Mike.
New sessions will be added
dependant on numbers.
Mike, who has a passion for
the King Community and
fitness stated that he would
like to develop the camp and
build permanent structures
similar to the old Trim Park
idea from the 1980's era.
'The public would then be
encouraged to use the facility
for a small fee on a “honesty
box “system,' said Mike.
As Mike said after the first
session on Monday 'the most
important person here is the
person who is least fit and
we will ALL work together as
a team to enhance
everyone’s abilities and fitness
levels.'
Mike and Klara are also
planning on opening up more
trails for trail running and
mountain Biking .
'A WARRIOR race is also in
the planning for the future,'
said Mike.

dirty!, he concluded.
