DR. MARGARET C. WINSTON'S LEGACY
Dr. Margaret C. Winston touched the lives
of many people through her devotion
to arts and culture. Anonymously,
she gave generously to many organizations.
Her passion motivated her
to underwrite MMoCA admissions,
providing free entry to all visitors to
create wide access to the transformative
power of visual art.
A ground-breaking radiologist,
Winston was brilliant, a lover of ideas and
discovery. She perceived the threads running
through seemingly disparate disciplines.
Many organizations benefited from
her keen mind and active support,
although she wanted no recognition
in return, simply the gratification
that she helped make our community
richer for all to enjoy.
MMoCA is profoundly grateful
for Dr. Winston’s long-time
support and her bequest that will help
keep admission to the museum free for
many years to come.
