Members Forum Feedback
Thank you on behalf of Naomi and
Clarissa, to those members who attended
our relaunched Members Forum, held in
the Allsorts Meeting Room on Tuesday 29th
November 2016.
It was great to meet those members and
to tell them about our plans and most
importantly, hear their thoughts and
feedback.
The next Members Forum will be on
Wednesday 29th March 2017, 1pm –
2.30pm. It will be held in the Allsorts
Meeting Room, The Exchange, Stroud, GL5
1DF. It’s your opportunity to meet Allsorts
staff, hear about our plans, voice any
concerns and suggest new ideas.
It’s really important that Allsorts keeps
listening to its members and acting on what
you tell us, so please do come along and let
us know what you think!
The key things that were discussed in the
forum were:
Staff Changes – we’re extremely sad to say
goodbye to our current Chief Executive,
Rachel Levay but we welcome Georgia
Boon to the team from January 2017.
Family Trips – we’re pleased to be able to
share all of the Family Trips that will be
taking place up until the end of August
2017. The annual member’s questionnaire
revealed that you would like the trips well
in advance so you can plan holidays and
your diaries around them. Please see pages
25-27 for more information about the trips,
prices and how to book your place.
Website – we’re currently building our
new website which will be live in early
2017. The website will feature all of the
current services and activities available to
you, as well as a calendar for you to easily
see what activities are taking place on a
specific day.
Early Years and 18-25 years – we’re proud
to say that Allsorts now supports children
from ages 0 to 25 years with our two new
groups; Early Years and our 18-25 years
weekly social group. We’ve also recruited a
young disabled person, Lettie Tongue, who
is working alongside the young people to
make sure their voices are heard. Welcome
to the team Lettie!
Summer – the Members Forum revealed
that it is often difficult to find enough
activities to do over the summer. Allsorts
will look into the feasibility of improving our
range of options and will report back to you
at the next Members Forum.
Financial and Strategy Documents –
the members at the forum expressed
an interest in being able to access our
financial reports, annual report and strategy
documents. These documents will be
uploaded onto our website for you to view
so you can understand our current position
and our plans for the future. It is important
that Allsorts is transparent and we welcome
any questions about those documents.
