Townswomen; Guild
The next meeting of the
Townswomen's Guild will be at
7.30 pm on Thursday 2nd February in
the Town Hall.
Our guest speaker is Derek Harris
whose talk is entitled 'Up the Cut'.
The social half-hour will be arranged
by the Leisure Group and the
competition is for a canal souvenir.
Subscriptions are due this month for
members.
Visitors are welcome for a cost of
£3.00.
1st Finedon Scout Group
To all the residents of Finedon who
supported the Finedon Scout Group
with the donations to the Santa Float
and the Christmas Post, we would
like to say a huge 'THANK YOU'.
We raised just over £1,500 for group
funds to help the young people of
Finedon to have fun and learn new
life skills through Scouting.
We would also like to thank Santa
who received lots of wish-list letters,
to Michael Todd for the loan of his
truck, to Leanne Knighton and Bipin
Patel for donating the sweets, and to
the collectors who walked the streets
of Finedon.
Also to the Premier shop,
Wellingborough Rd, Newagents,
Tasters Cafe, Hair Raid, Affleck
Antiques and the Wesleyan Chapel
for having the Christmas post boxes
and to all 23 of the postal deliverers.
We have over 65 young people each
week ranging from 6 - 18 years and
are always looking for any volunteers
to help in many various ways.

Valentine Barn Dance -
Saturday 18th February

Due to the tremendous
enjoyment had by all who
attended our Barn Dances in
2016, we have booked the
Live Band
'KELLY'S EYE'
with caller once again and a
licensed Real Ale bar
plus supper to keep the energy
levels up.
Tickets are £10 each

a chicken & chip supper
or vegetarian option.
