The default option for installing the BonusPak products in FIBASE.RSP is
documented in 7.1.3, “New Keywords in OS/2 Warp 4” on page 204. To install
a product, give a value 1 to Selection. To change the default installation disk,
give the drive unit to value.
In the preceding example, products will be installed according to their default
values, but ART and FAXWORKS will not be installed, and IBMWORKS will
be installed on drive D:.
7.2.1 Example of an OS/2 Warp 4 Response File
Following is a sample response file that was used in our scenarios. First, the
response file name was passed as an parameter to SEINST.EXE. Right after
SEINST.EXE, the Feature Installer (CLIFI.EXE) will use the very same
response file along with a base Feature Installer response file, FIBASE.RSP.
It is very important to understand that Feature Installer (CLIFI.EXE) is
executed automatically by SEINST.EXE invoked through LAN CID Utility.
However, when using NetView DM/2 or TME 10 SD 3.1.3, you need to run
Feature Installer separately as another software package. Since Feature
Installer needs PM (Presentation Manager) to be active, CLIFI.EXE can only
be executed when the remote workstation reboots with MPTS and NVDM/2 or
SD 3.1.3 client active. Find more details about Feature Installer in “ASD -
