of the Amesbury Carriage Museum,<br />

will talk about the history of carriage<br />

making in Amesbury and the exciting<br />

activities and events this coming<br />

year. Amesbury was recognized<br />

to be one of the most important<br />

carriage making cities in the world.<br />

The workers were far and away the<br />

most skilled workers. Beginning in<br />

1853, Amesbury became famous<br />

for building carriages, a trade which<br />

evolved into the manufacture of<br />

TRACKS AND TELLTALES FOR<br />

KIDS<br />

Join us as we hike from the Barn to<br />

the Pine Grove, looking for tracks and<br />

telltales left behind by the creatures<br />

who roam the property surrounding<br />

the Crane Estate. Using our skills<br />

of observation, we’ll find footprints<br />

and feeding sites, homes and hiding<br />

places. We’ll warm up after our trek<br />

with hot chocolate in the Pine Grove.<br />

about 3/4 mile each way. We will go<br />

at an easy pace so little legs can keep<br />
