President’s
Notes
John Mack
It gives me great pleasure to welcome our new Executive Officer
Mr. Tony Turner to our association. Tony is a long time resident of
Wagga and comes from a background in sports management as well as
being a level 3 coach in AFL.
Our National Office has experienced several staff changes recently with
Kaz Butts and Sue Pim leaving us, with Ally Taylor joining our staff
for accounts and administration, and Belinda Potts as our new
part time receptionist. Please make our new staff feel welcome to our
association.
In coaching, our National Coaching Director Mr. Bill Iles resigned his
position and on behalf of the National Executive, we thank Bill for his
time as National Coaching Director. Mr. Graeme Boyd has taken up the
National Coaching Director position for the balance of the appointment.
Progress continues on our National Grounds with power upgrades to
200 Kva which will enable more powered sites for our members and
power for catering facilities, the new kitchen in our clubhouse is a credit
to Wagga President Don Power who oversaw the construction and
planning, the upgrade was a combined effort between Wagga and
Downside Clubs and the ACTA to provide first class amenities to our
members. A tree planting program is also underway to provide more
shade and beautify our grounds.
