WATER PROFESSIONALS
Are you looking for a meaningful job in a stable industry that
really makes a difference to people’s livelihoods? Then you
might want to consider a job in the water sector.
Think about it – water is the one thing that every living thing
on this planet needs to survive! Clean water is essential for
environmental and human health, for economic growth, and
social development. And, with the global population increasing
rapidly, so are the world’s water needs. In fact, according to
the International Water Association, 1 million new water
professionals are needed every year to accommodate increasing
global need.
Water Authority – Cayman is looking for the next generation of
water professionals!
Our organisation offers paid summer internships and
a CI$30,000 Annual Scholarship to a suitably qualified
Caymanian to obtain an undergraduate academic or technical/
vocational degree or diploma in a field of study relevant to the
Authority’s work.
Fields of study that are particularly relevant include:
Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil
Engineering, Hydrogeology, Mechanical Engineering,
Wastewater Treatment, Water Resource/Supply Management,
Reverse Osmosis Technology, Information Technology,
Accounting, Finance, and Business Management. So, whether
you see yourself in a lab coat or a hardhat, working in the field
or at a desk, the Authority has a career path for you!

successfully transitioned into full-time Water Authority staff
following the completion of their studies.

working in the water sector, we encourage you to apply for
a paid summer internship with the Authority. There are a
variety of careers available in the water and wastewater utilities
industry and you can choose which departments within our
