Katy ISD elementary schools until 6:30 PM. Some schools offer both before<br />

AHFC JUNIOR HURRICANES (JHSL)<br />

REGISTRATION NOW FOR SPRING <strong>2017</strong> OPEN<br />

The Junior Hurricanes Soccer League (JHSL) is led by professional United<br />

States Soccer Federation (USSF) licensed staff and is designed for boys<br />

& girls who want to play and have fun in a safe and developmentally<br />

appropriate environment. The JHSL program is being offered at multiple<br />

locations and in conjunction with CFSA at the Schiel Road Complex.<br />

SPRING SOCCER SIGN UPS<br />

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!<br />

KATY/FULSHEAR/WEST HOUSTON/WESTPARK BELTWAY<br />

Registration for Fun, Fair, Positive Soccer (FFPS) is open for boys and girls<br />

ages 4 to 18 for the SPRING Season. Games start on April 8, <strong>2017</strong>. FFPS<br />

is a non-profit youth soccer program dedicated to providing a positive<br />

youth sports experience for all children. Founded in 1986 in Katy, Texas,<br />

FFPS has grown to 22 leagues and 16,000 players throughout the Greater<br />

Houston area. FFPS offers children a fun and fair experience, including<br />

one practice per week, a full uniform and trophy for every player, equal<br />

playing time and play every position, co-ed/balanced teams, positive<br />

coaching and more. No tryouts are required.<br />

Feb. 11 th through Mar. 2 nd : $112<br />

Mar. 3 rd through Mar. 23 rd : $117<br />

Mar. 24 th through Full: $122<br />

Go to www.FFPS.org to sign up. Registration fee includes a full uniform<br />

(jersey, shorts and socks), trophy, trained positive coaches, nice fields<br />

and background checks on all volunteers. Coaches will call players<br />

to schedule practice by April 4 th . Practice times and location will be<br />

determined by the coach and team. The schedule includes eight games,<br />

played locally on Saturdays, April 8 th to May 27 th . Our Katy league plays<br />

at George Bush Park - FFPS Soccer Complex (20150 Westheimer Parkway).<br />

Our Fulshear League plays at Huggins Elementary (No. 1 Huggins Dr). Our<br />

West Houston League plays at Westside High School (14201 Briar Forest).<br />

Our Westpark/Beltway League plays at Quillian Center (10570 Westpark<br />

Dr). Our Spring Branch/Memorial League plays at St. Andrew Lutheran<br />

KATY AREA RUNNING CLUB<br />

The Katy Area Running Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation which<br />

exists to serve people living in and around Katy, Texas who have an interest<br />

in running. We are a community of people of all ages, backgrounds,<br />

heritages and abilities who share a common interest - running! Our focus<br />

is on group runs, having fun, socializing and sharing our knowledge and<br />

experience with our members and the public. We welcome all who are<br />

interested in joining us. We have a full calendar of runs, events and socials.<br />

We hold group runs every Saturday morning at the Sergeant Hatch<br />

Sports Park off the south I-10 feeder road just east of Barker Cypress Rd.<br />

On Tuesdays (5 AM and 6:30 PM) we meet at the Cinco Ranch Junior High<br />

Track for speedwork and on Thursday (6:30 PM) we meet at Crosspoint<br />

Community Church for tempo runs of various distances and paces. To find<br />

TENNIS ORGANIZATION FOR THE KATY AREA<br />

Katy Area Tennis (KAT) is the newest, non-profit tennis organization<br />

meeting the needs of all tennis players in the Katy area. Our goal is to<br />

provide a wide range of programming for tennis players as well as to<br />

promote the game in the Katy area. Registration is currently open for a<br />

variety of leagues, ladders and tournaments that include singles, doubles<br />

and mixed doubles for all ages and skill levels. For more information,<br />

TRACK HOUSTON • YOUTH TRACK CLUB<br />

Track Houston is the nation’s largest and most successful youth track and<br />

field organization. Our goal is to assist interested boys and girls ages 6<br />

to18 years old in improving their physical fitness and mental stamina. We<br />

have 2 Cross Country practice sites in the greater Houston area. Memorial<br />

KATY CANOE & KAYAK CLUB (KC/KC)<br />

Join a non-profit club - free of charge. We meet every 3 rd Wednesday of<br />

each month at 24638 Kingsland Blvd., Katy TX 77494. We post different<br />

water trips and outdoor adventures on the Meet Up Group Website. Don’t<br />

know if you prefer to canoe or kayak? Don’t buy something just to buy<br />

it… try out different boats. These trips will help you decide what you like<br />

or if you even like to paddle. We can help! We have years of water sports<br />

adventures under our belts. We don’t sell boats or boat gear, but we do<br />

have kayaks and canoes and/or we know people who have kayaks and<br />

canoes. Must be at least 21 years of age to borrow a kayak or canoe (ID<br />

Required). Must be at least 18 years of age to join (ID Required). No minors<br />
