ENJOY A HERITAGE HIGH TEA
The Wanneroo Museum
invites you to enjoy a
traditional high tea set in
the grounds of historic
Buckingham House.
Built between 1880 and
1890, Buckingham House
was home to John and Emily
Amelia Buckingham and their
seven children.
Over the years Buckingham
House was the home to other
prominent Wanneroo families
including the Ashby family and
George Tapping. The City of
Wanneroo acquired the home
in the 1970s.
Following careful restoration,
it was officially opened as a
heritage homestead for the
community to enjoy and to
learn about the early colonial
history of Western Australia.
The afternoon includes a
guided tour of the house.
