ENTRIES OPEN - COMMUNITY ART AWARDS AND EXHIBITION

One of the major features of
the City of Wanneroo’s cultural
calendar, the 2017 City of
Wanneroo Community Art Awards
and Exhibition is now underway
and accepting submissions from
artists.
First time exhibitors, hobbyists,
semi-professionals and professional
artists throughout Western Australia
are invited to enter works, be eligible
to win from the $16,800 in prize
money and potentially sell their
artwork.
With only 230 entries being
accepted for display, the exhibition
provides an ideal opportunity to
showcase local Wanneroo artists
and those from the wider Western
Australian arts community.
Entries opened in early February
and will close when 230 valid
submissions have been received,
or by 4pm on Friday 7 April 2017.

The 2017 Wanneroo Galleries
exhibition program promises
to deliver a range of exciting,
ecletic and contemporary
exhibitions to our world class
Gallery spaces.
The City of Wanneroo
appreciates the importance of
bringing a wide range of art
exhibitions and their associated
educational programs and
workshops to our residents.
Our 2017 program will welcome
many fabulous exhibitions
including Montages: The Full Cut,
1999-2015 by Tracey Moffatt
and Gary Hillberg and the
Anne Frank Travelling Exhibition.
We are also very excited to again
be working with the Aboriginal
girls from Girrawheen Senior
High School to bring you the next
instalment of Yokayi Waarbiny

Celebrate Art and Cultural Spirit.

VIEW OUR ART COLLECTION ONLINE
The City of Wanneroo has 250
artworks in its art collection which
is now available to view online.
The collection includes paintings,
works on paper, photographs and
small sculptures.
The online gallery gives Wanneroo
residents and the general public an
easy way to view artworks that are
on display across the City, as well
as to see what artists are
represented in the collection.
The gallery aims to promote and
foster an appreciation of Wanneroo’s
and Western Australia’s rich artistic
heritage by making it available from
the comfort of people’s homes.
