KINGSTON FRONTENACS GAMEDAY REPORT
A MUST WIN GAME FOR THE FRONTNEACS
A WIN OVER OTTAWA KEEPS KINGSTON AHEAD OF HAMILTON IN THE BATTLE FOR HOME ICE
While on paper the 7th place Ottawa 67’s look
like a team that should be easy pickings for
the 4th place Kingston Frontenacs, looks can be
deceiving. In their 6 match-ups so far this season,
the 67’s have 4 wins to just 2 for the Frontenacs.
The 67’s roll into the Rogers K-Rock Centre
as a team desperate to win games and add point
to guarantee their spot in the playoffs. Sure, the
67’s sit in 7th place in a conference that sends
8 teams to the post-season, but they share that
7th spot with the Niagara IceDogs. And the North
Bay Battalions are sitting only 2 points back.
For the Frontenacs, wins aren’t going to help
they secure a spot in the post-season. They’re
virtually in, sitting in 4th place. But wins are just
as important for Kingston, who sit a single point
ahead of the Hamilton Bulldogs, and home ice
advantage in the playoffs.
The 67’s come into tonight’s game at Rogers
K-Rock Centre with only 2 wins in their past 10
games, with 7 regulation losses and 1 shootout
loss. In 59 games played this season, the 67’s
have 22 wins, 31 regulation losses, 5 overtime
losses, and 1 shootout loss.
The Frontenacs, with 11 points in their last
10 games, are coming off the loss to the 67’s
on Wednesday looking to take advantage of the
home-and-home weekend with the 67’s. After 60
games played this season, the Frontenacs have
28 wins, 23 regulation losses, 5 overtime losses,
and 4 shootout losses, good for 65 points.
SALUTE THE TROOPS PHOTO: Immediately after
tonight’s game, all members of the Canadian
Armed Forces, their families, and retirees, can
join the Frontenacs on-ice for the Salute the
Troops photo. Please access the ice from the 100
level concourse behind section 114 immediately
following the conclusion of the game. Rogers K-
Rock Centre ushers and Kingston Frontenacs
staff will direct you onto the ice.
