2 Dear Friends, The Chester County Hospital is proud of its non-profit heritage. We strive to be your Hospital of choice, not for the purpose of making a profit, but rather to provide our community with the highest quality healthcare possible. From our neonatal unit to our hospice program, we offer medical services to support you during every stage of your life. We know, however, we would not be able to do this without the support of our community. This Donor Report reflects gifts made to the Hospital during the 2008 fiscal year, which ran from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. Acknowledged in this report are the 2,962 donors who gave a total of $8,484,270 this past year to our campaign – Advancing Care, Building Community. This campaign supports, among other things, the addition of a new 72-bed wing that will consolidate and integrate all cardiovascular services. This report also includes the 2,374 people who contributed a total of $427,205 to the annual appeal. Impressively, we had a record-breaking year for annual giving. Your gifts exceeded our expectations and goal by more than $100,000. We are also pleased to acknowledge corporate sponsors, volunteers and 1892 Society members. Thank you for your generosity to all these important requests for support. In an effort to provide more appropriate recognition for our generous donors, we have made a couple of changes in the format of this year’s report. We have aggregated all gifts from a donor (i.e., annual, capital, memorial, etc.) and listed that donor at a giving level that reflects the total sum of all such gifts made by that donor during the 2008 fiscal year. In addition, we have provided specific recognition for donors who have reached lifetime cumulative giving milestones or consecutive giving achievement (some of whom have given each and every year for more than 20 years!). We are thrilled to be among your philanthropic priorities. To truly thank you for your generosity and trust, we will continue to build our medical services and wellness outreach to be the best Hospital we can be.
