MEN’S MINISTRY
During the latter part of the year 2016 the Men’s Ministry formulated some plans and ideas to
build a strong and vibrant ministry.
A prayer walk was held in October at the Rufus King Park and it was a promising start. We followed
up with a social evening in December which included a panel discussion, games and
food. This event was a more successful one. The leaders were encouraged and are now more
determined to move forward the plans.
At present, there is an ongoing Saturday morning prayer meeting led By Bro. Robert Mayou
between the hours of 6:30 – 8:00 am.
Some of our immediate plans to be implemented include mobilization of the ministry to do
more Evangelism work. We specially want to impress upon our young boys, teenagers and
young men the importance of this part of Church activity.
We want to partner with the younger men to take care of some of the physical needs of our
elders and shut-ins where ever possible.
There will be one evening per month of fellowship and games where we want to hear the views
of the younger men and come up with solutions to help strengthen them as they continue to
run this race.
Further plans include creating a mentorship program so that every boy or young man can know
that there will always be someone available to him to give assistance.
It is the determination of the Men’s Ministry to become a force to be reckoned with as we
move forward.
