PASSIONATE ACTIVIST<br />

At the age of 9, it may have<br />
seemed like nothing but a pipe<br />
dream; but Pilane Bubu (32) ultimately<br />
diverted from societal<br />
expectations of being a lawyer or<br />
even a doctor to focus on music<br />
as a career. “I believe that I can<br />
change the world through creativity<br />
and passion and that the<br />
world would be a better place if<br />
we all did more of what we are<br />
passionate about,” points out<br />
the Creative Lifestyle Activist.<br />

to accomplish<br />
your<br />
dreams<br />
The Mthata born singer who<br />
neglected her creative journey<br />
from when she was in matric until<br />
the age of 25 shared her music<br />
interest with her twin sister.<br />
“We loved school assembly and<br />
going to the Chapel every morning.<br />
We would come home in the<br />
evenings and take turns in singing<br />
to school hymn book back to<br />
back,” says Pilani. A shared journey<br />
Pilani had as her family supported<br />
her and her passion by<br />
buying her musical instruments<br />
from a tender age.
