FSFW not only provides a platform for up-coming and established designers to showcase their work but to also assist in the promotion and development of small and medium enterprises in the Free State, especially those whose scope of production is related to fashion. Through the fashion week,the promotion of tourism businesses such as airlines, accommodation services, car dealerships, travel agents, BONOLO MOKOENA - FSFW APPRENTICE and accessory makers prevails by having them as exhibitors at the event. Every business needs financial booster, and FSFW has the Andrew Scholtz Foundation on the forefront, essentiall ywith the soon to be launched fashion school. The foundation has seen to it that FSFW’s vision of developing the Fashion Hub materializes as they funded the machinery and other equipment for the school. Still on finances, the other benefactors of the event were from Standard Bank. Their main objective as highlighted by Will Tshwene is that they help diversify the economy in the province and attract more investors. As if the event was not alluring enough, OleLedimo of House of Ole and a Judge on Raw Silk Judge(Reality Fashion Show on Sabc 1) graced the occasion. He reiterated that the community ought to support local designers and grow the fashion market. He further went on to appeal to designers to also deliver quality products in order to be taken seriously.
