de interpretação dos indicadores de sustentabilidade refere-se à intensificação do confinamento do gado bovino de corte realizada desde 2013, em um plano de recuperação de pastagens em rotação com soja e milho produzidos em sistema plantio direto. Esse sistema de ILP tem sido estendido em área conforme vêm sendo melhoradas as condições de fertilidade dos solos e a produtividade, aproveitando as áreas de renovação do algodão, compondo um genuíno programa de ecologia industrial no estabelecimento. Estimativas das médias de produção apontam evolução anual, desde a implantação do plano de intensificação, de 5 mil para 8 mil cabeças em engorda, favorecendo melhor aproveitamento dos subprodutos agroindustriais e acrescidos de importantes volumes de milho em silagem e soja entregue ao mercado, na situação presente. Dentre as limitações produtivas apontadas pelo Sr. José Paulo constam as dificuldades logísticas associadas à distribuição da suplementação alimentar aos animais, dadas as distâncias entre os piquetes de confinamento e a quantidade de volumosos e concentrados a distribuir, que alcançam 35 kg/animal/ dia; dificuldades climáticas características da região, com geadas frequentes (nove eventos em 2016), chuvas torrenciais e secas prolongadas; e a capacitação e manutenção de trabalhadores qualificados, em um mercado de grande mobilidade da mão-de-obra.
