AbilityOne Contract
In partnership with Gulf Coast Enterprises,
Goodwill was awarded an AbilityOne contract
in 2011, which provided 50 workers with severe
disabilities jobs at Joint Base Lewis McChord’s
dining facility at McChord Air Force Base.
Under the contract requirements, 75 percent of
the employees need to be people with severe
disabilities. This federally funded contract
provides people who have challenges in the
regular workforce the opportunity for well paid
employment that can lead to better jobs.
