Wednesday 12th Highclere Castle - Downton Abbey ROUTE A<br />

Set in over 1000 acres of stunning 18th century parkland designed by Capability<br />

Brown and home of the Earl of Carnarvon, Highclere has been described as the finest<br />

Victorian House in existence and now, of course, is known all around the world, as the<br />

home of Downton Abbey. Created by Sir Charles Barry who also designed the Houses<br />

of Parliament, the castle has a magnificent library and drawing room with the highlight<br />

being The Saloon with its 50ft vaulted ceilings. Outside, you can explore the beautiful<br />

gardens and parkland. Tearoom on site & café for lunch - alternatively you may like to<br />

Lovely day out to enjoy the beautiful scenery of West Dorset and East Devon before stopping at the excellent Hare & Hounds Pub near Sidmouth. This traditional country pub<br />

has wooden beams and log fires with lovely views down to Sidmouth and the sea. We have included a delicious carvery with an extensive choice of fresh vegetables, gravy<br />

and extras. Pudding is available on the day for an additional cost. Afterwards we shall head in to Sidmouth with time to stroll along the seafront and explore the shops.<br />

Queen Victoria's seaside holiday home is a very popular destination with our customers. A<br />

fascinating rare glimpse in to Royal life in the 19th Century, the house has an extravagant<br />

interior and there are extensive gardens offering views across the Solent. Take an intimate<br />

glimpse into Queen Victoria's family life as you tour the nursery and private rooms of Victoria<br />

and Albert. Marvel at the magnificence of the Royal Apartments including the sumptuous<br />

drawing and dining rooms and the richly decorated Indian-inspired Durbar Room. The visitor<br />

Saturday 15th RIAT <strong>2017</strong> - Fairford Air Show ROUTE (<br />

Few events can rival the intensity, drama and spectacle on offer at the world's greatest airshow. With 200+ aircraft participating each year and support from the Royal Air<br />

Force and some of the world's leading aerospace companies, the Royal International Air Tattoo is acknowledged as not only the world's largest military airshow but also one<br />

of the UK's premier outdoor events for the whole family! Staged at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire the event will feature a thrilling flying display with fast jets, giant<br />

transporters, historic aircraft, and much, much more. There will be a chance to meet the crews, get close to the aircraft and enjoy a feast of over 2 miles of attractions,<br />

activities, exhibitions, shopping and food and drinks outlets. Early start and we plan to stay to the end of the flying display - departing 5.45pm. Price includes entrance.<br />

as possible during the day. The island boasts 60 miles of spectacular coastline and beautiful countryside. We take in many of the best sights and usually include Newport,<br />
