Tuesday 8th Oxford – TRANSIT SERVICE ROUTE (<br />
2 PICK UPS ONLY. Oxford, the 'city of dreaming spires' is steeped in a rich and<br />
fascinating history. Famous for its prestigious Oxford University, the city is very pedestrian<br />
friendly; a bustling cosmopolitan place with a lovely riverside setting and a lively mix of<br />
restaurants, bars and superb shopping. The Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library and<br />
Bridge of Sighs make up just a few of the famous picturesque buildings of Oxford. Its<br />
charming scenery has been the inspiration for many, including Lewis Carroll and J.R.R<br />

Wells is one of Britain's secret gems and a fabulous destination for a day out; proof that<br />
the country still has much to admire! Sheltered beneath the southern slopes of the Mendip<br />
Hills, it combines a wealth of historic interest and beautiful architecture. Wells qualifies as<br />
England's smallest, and Somerset's only city because of its amazing 12th century<br />
Cathedral. The wells, which gave the city its name, are located within the grounds of the<br />
Bishop's Palace, which is still the residence of the Bishop of Bath and Wells. Also of<br />
interest are Vicars' Close, claimed to be the oldest complete medieval street in Europe,<br />
