Tuesday 8th Oxford – TRANSIT SERVICE ROUTE (
2 PICK UPS ONLY. Oxford, the 'city of dreaming spires' is steeped in a rich and
fascinating history. Famous for its prestigious Oxford University, the city is very pedestrian
friendly; a bustling cosmopolitan place with a lovely riverside setting and a lively mix of
restaurants, bars and superb shopping. The Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library and
Bridge of Sighs make up just a few of the famous picturesque buildings of Oxford. Its
charming scenery has been the inspiration for many, including Lewis Carroll and J.R.R
Tolkien. There are also many recognisable scenes from popular films such as Harry Potter
and TV series like Inspector Morse. Come along for a great day out. Special Transit

Wells is one of Britain's secret gems and a fabulous destination for a day out; proof that
the country still has much to admire! Sheltered beneath the southern slopes of the Mendip
Hills, it combines a wealth of historic interest and beautiful architecture. Wells qualifies as
England's smallest, and Somerset's only city because of its amazing 12th century
Cathedral. The wells, which gave the city its name, are located within the grounds of the
Bishop's Palace, which is still the residence of the Bishop of Bath and Wells. Also of
interest are Vicars' Close, claimed to be the oldest complete medieval street in Europe,

to enjoy the history, find a nice place for lunch or a spot in the park for a picnic - a lovely town to spend time in. After time here we head to the Wilton Shopping Village nearby.

A memorable day out as we head to Henry VIII magnificent Palace on the River
