Nick-A-Palooza

Palooza Family Music Festival,
held in honor of Nick
Kot, who died of a traumatic
brain injury in 2003, returns
for its ninth year. The event
raises money for the Nick
Kot Charity for Traumatic
Brain Injury and has raised
more than $280,000 since
its inception. Held in downtown
Lockport, the music
fest will feature six different
bands throughout the
day and activities for both
children and adults, including
raffles, a bean bag tournament,
split-the-pot, face
painting, games and prizes.
Admission is $5 for adults
who arrive before 2 p.m., $8
after; children 12 and under
