everyday household activities, using a powerful new communication<br />

interfaces (BCI), and is especially useful for people with limited mobility<br />
wishing to live independently. g.tec is a leading supplier of BCI<br />
technology and contributor to the EU-funded projects “PRESENCCIA”,<br />

The role of life sciences in Upper Austria is given a special focus in the<br />
coming years. Most activities in the field of medical technology are<br />
coordinated by the Health Technology <strong>Cluster</strong> (GC).<br />
The GC is the largest network in Life Sciences Austria comprising more<br />
than 215 partners. Its aim is to strengthen innovation and competitiveness<br />
of companies in the area of health technology, their suppliers as<br />
well as the related education and technology transfer institutions.<br />
The core activities of the Health Technology <strong>Cluster</strong> are strengthening<br />
and enlarging the medical technology sector as well as establishing<br />
co-operations between companies and the health care system. The<br />
long-term aim for Upper Austria is to become THE area for medical<br />
technology.
