Kohlbrat & Bunz produce RedVac vacuum mattresses, vacuum splints
and vacuum jackets for immobilising and transporting victims of
accidents from the scene of the accident to the X-ray facility.
RedVac’s patented multi-chamber system, with its extremely tough
exterior shell, self-sealing vacuum valve and the very comfortable, freely
positionable carrying handles and restraining straps mean that
RedVac products are very well adapted to even the most difficult rescue
missions, such as steep, narrow stairways and the most extreme
examples of mountain and cave rescue.
RedVac vacuum immobilisation products have also been further
developed as a way of ensuring that patients remain motionless
during MRI scans, and to provide support during rehabilitation.
