What Keeps Me Saved

1. Get in the word of God every time you can because
knowledge is power.
The apostle Paul says, “Study to show yourself approve”.
2 Timothy 2:15
2. Develop a fear of God.
Fearing God makes you wise. You will abstain from
ungodly practices.
Psalm. 111:10; Proverbs. 1:7, 9:10
3. We should pray regularly.
It improves our connection with the creator,
prayer moved God to interfere in earths affairs.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
4. Live a repentful life.
When we sin we must repent of it, confess it, and pray to
God that we may be forgiven.
“Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God,
if perhaps the thought of our heart will be forgiven you”
Acts 8:22; John 1:8, 10; James 5:16 &19
5. We must desire to follow after the things of God.
The bible teaches, “There is therefore no condemnation to those who walk not after the flesh but according
to the spirit”
Romans 8:1, 8:13; Galatians. 5:19; 1 Corinthians. 9:27
The common misconception is that, “Once saved, always saved” but
this teaching is a lie form the pit of hell. In Matthew 7:21 "Jesus
states, not everyone who says “Lord Lord” shall enter the kingdom of
heaven but he who does the will of my father in heaven."
To stay saved we must live a life for God and seek Him in His word.
We must seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to apply the word to our
lives. To stay saved means giving up ourselves and desiring God's will
above all else. As we draw nearer to God and come to know Him, His
desires will naturally become ours.
As we mature, our desire to obey God's command increase and as our
love for Him increases. As Jesus said, “if you love me, you will obey
what I command” – John 14:15.

Obedience is the key!
