Throughout the summer,
St. Peters is home to Sunset
Fridays, a robust series of
free concerts held at 6:30
p.m. on Friday nights at 370
Lakeside Park, 1000 Lakeside
Park Drive.
All of the bands are family-friendly
and the Gator
Island Grill, open at 6 p.m.
on concert nights, provides a
special menu of grilled food,
homemade chips, beer, wine,
soft drinks and frozen treats. Wade Trent
Coolers and snacks, with the
exception of alcoholic beverages, also may
be carried in, creating the perfect “concert
and a picnic” start to the weekend.
370 Lakeside Park features the expansive
Corporate Pavilion, which seats more than
300 guests on comfortable furniture and
has a large concrete courtyard in the center,
ideal for guests to set up their own chairs
and get a front row seat next to the band.
Surrounding the pavilion are large grassy
areas where concert-goers can lounge on
their own blankets or in folding chairs
while enjoying stunning views of the lake.
On the concert schedule this year are
some perennial favorites along with an
infusion of new performers. Wade Trent
returns and will kick off the series on May
19, bringing a mix of rock and country to
the stage. The Dawn Weber Jazz Trio will
conclude the series on Aug. 11 with a jazz,
blues and rock repertoire that covers everything
from Ella Fitzgerald to Jimi Hendrix.
For the convenience of concert-goers,
there are several parking lots adjacent to
the pavilion, including ADA-accessible
parking directly in front of the pavilion.
The area also includes paved walking paths
to the pavilion from the parking lots and
along the lake and a new indoor restroom
facility.
