t The Rector Search Committee is pleased and excited to announce the appointment of
The Very Reverend Gary Hall, Ph.D., as the seventh Rector of Christ Church Cranbrook.
Father Hall comes to us from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in
Evanston, Illinois, where he served as Dean and President for the past five years.
The members of the Vestry expressed great confidence in Reverend Hall, finding
him not only quite experienced but offering the energy and enthusiasm needed
to continue the mission of our parish.
Some CCC parishioners may remember that Reverend Hall served as Assistant
Minister in the late 1970s while his wife, Kathy, was Assistant Director of Religious
Education. Their son, Oliver, was born here and baptized at CCC.
His first day in office will be Monday, January 4, with his first sermons being
the following weekend.
The Reverend Joyce Matthews Elected President of
Standing Committee
On Tuesday, November 17, Christ Church Cranbrook’s own Pastor Joyce Matthews, Associate
Priest, was elected President of the Standing Committee. This is quite an honor and
reflects highly on CCC.
