Christine Eyres
Australia
Christine graduated with a Bachelor
of Fine Arts from Curtin University,
Western Australia, 1984, and has since
completed post-graduate studies at
Curtin and James Cook Universities.
She has exhibited widely in Australia
and abroad, and conducts workshops
in painting techniques, life drawing,
portraiture and printmaking. Her
art tends to be figurative, examining
relationships as well as more political
issues. Some of Christine’s recent
paintings have been informed by
the experience of volunteer work in
outback Australia, with children too
isolated to attend school. The Brahman
bulls on the outback stations fascinate
her. Together with mythology, they
creep into her work.
